About the Role


We are a group of students & recent graduates creating a platform for Scotland’s Refugees to share their voice through art. Through a research-driven educational campaign, we use our online presence and creative events to raise awareness in the local community about what it means to be a refugee, with the vision of a welcoming and accepting society.


We are looking for an Accountant to work with the Growth & Partnerships Lead and Board on monitoring, managing, and strategising the finances and budget for COLOURS 2019 - 2020. The successful candidate will be working in a loose team of 3 dedicated, skillful and highly motivated volunteers. The ideal candidate should have a strong numerical background, and demonstrable experience in managing an organisation's finances and budget.



Raising awareness amongst thousands of people about the issues facing refugees and asylum seekers, helping to challenge misconceptions and negative perceptions

  • Handling the organisation's financial accounts, monitoring and overseeing cash flow on an on-going basis

  • Working with the Growth and Partnerships Lead and the board to set budgets and financial targets

  • Process, track, and create reports for all expenses for the organisation

  • Help create monthly and quarterly financial reports, ones that will be shared with our external partners, board members and advisors

  • Assist with creating a summary financial report at the end of the academic year to be shared on our website (ensuring absolute transparency)
