Marketing Manager Application
We are creating a platform for refugees in Scotland to share their voice through art. We are a group of socially driven, business-minded and goals oriented students/recent graduates building an organisation with a potential to grow and create real impact by raising awareness, supporting the arts and creating a platform for cross-culture integration.
We interview refugees and immigrants in Scotland, release educational and awareness-raising blog articles and social media posts, host awareness-raising events and a final art exhibition by collaborating with artists worldwide. Parts of our profits go towards our charity partners, The Welcoming and Bikes For Refugees, whilst the remainder gets reinvested into covering the costs of the organisation.
We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and socially driven student/recent graduate to lead our marketing department. The marketing team, currently consisting of 4 team members, meet on a weekly basis and dedicate 4 hours a week to volunteer for COLOURS of Edinburgh. The marketing department is at the core of this organisation, as it is our events and educational campaigns which makes up our impact we are delivering.
Your role as a marketing manager would be to work closely with the coordinators in order to create and develop a 6 month marketing strategy, constantly changing and updating it, as we are in a fast changing environment. Aside of strategizing, prioritising between various projects, delegating the work to the rest of your team, assisting and motivating your team members and making sure targets are hit, the marketing manager's role is to propose new and exciting channels and campaigns to creatively reach our audience and assisting the founding team to analyse performance of the marketing team, measure the social impact of the organisation and develop internal processes.

We are still at our early stages and so are looking for an entrepreneurial and strategically minded can-doer with an upbeat personality and a drive to create social change. We are looking for someone who works well with others, who is against micro-managing, who likes to take on new challenges and someone who can manage a team and various projects simultaneously.

Interested in the refugee crisis and immigration policy
Experience in leading and managing a team
Tool savvy (e.g. hootsuite, google sheets, CRMs, website builders, mailchimp, google analytics)
Self-learner / actively adapts a growth mindset
At least 1-year experience in a digital marketing role (part time/full time/freelance/personal projects)
