About the Role

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

We are a group of students & recent graduates creating a platform for Scotland’s Refugees to share their voice through art. Through a research-driven educational campaign, we use our online presence and creative events to raise awareness in the local community about what it means to be a refugee, with the vision of a welcoming and accepting society.

We are looking for a Digital Media Officer for our COLOURS of Edinburgh 2019 - 2020 team. The successful candidate will be working with a team of 5-6 dedicated, skilful and highly motivated marketing volunteers. The ideal candidate should be organised, socially driven (specifically within the issues surrounding refugee and asylum seeker integration) and have experience in digital marketing, creative writing and event promotion.

Photograph and film events we host (we host about 5 to 6 per academic year)

Collaborate with other team members to creatively tell a story through the various media - Help create storyboards for videos, communicate with the arts department for creative direction and take ownership of all photos and videos created by COLOURS of Edinburgh

Work with other team members to focus and understand our audience, whilst carefully honouring the COLOURS of Edinburgh brand and style

Internal organisation needs (media), including website headshots and team photographs
