About the Role


We are a group of students & recent graduates creating a platform for Scotland’s Refugees to share their voice through art. Through a research-driven educational campaign, we use our online presence and creative events to raise awareness in the local community about what it means to be a refugee, with the vision of a welcoming and accepting society.


We are looking for a Fundraising and Grants Manager to work with the Growth & Partnerships Lead and Board on monitoring, managing, and strategising the fundraising efforts and grant applications for COLOURS 2019 - 2020. The successful candidate will be working in a loose team of 3 dedicated, skillful and highly motivated volunteers. The ideal candidate would have experience in the third sector, ideally in a fundraising capacity and with experience successfully applying for grants.




Raising awareness amongst thousands of people about the issues facing refugees and asylum seekers, helping to challenge misconceptions and negative perceptions


Make lifelong friends that have similar interests and a similar mindset to you


Real-world experience in building and driving an organisations fundraising activities


Experience researching, applying for, and monitoring grants


Make valuable connections to add to your network, especially within the creative and third sectors


Add an impressive role to your CV that demonstrates tangible skills and professional experience within arts and social enterprise/third sector. 


Be a part of a social enterprise with high growth potential and potential future internationalisation

  • Research and create database of eligible trusts and grants

  • Work with the Communications & Fundraising Director (as well as the Growth & Partnership Lead and Growth & Operations Director) to create a Fundraising and Grant strategy for the year

  • Create and monitor applications for grants

  • Help create monthly and quarterly financial reports, ones that will be shared with our external partners, board members and advisors

  • Work with the Marketing Lead in planning fundraising events for the year
