About the Role

We are a group of students & recent graduates creating a platform for Scotland’s Refugees to share their voice through art. Through a research-driven educational campaign, we use our online presence and creative events to raise awareness in the local community about what it means to be a refugee, with the vision of a welcoming and accepting society.

 

We are looking for a Marketing Lead for our COLOURS 2019 - 2020 team. The successful candidate will be leading a team of 5-6 dedicated, skilful and highly motivated volunteers. The ideal candidate should be organised, socially driven (specifically within the issues surrounding refugee and asylum seeker integration) and have experience in digital marketing strategies, and event promotion. 

 

The Marketing Lead will work directly with the Head of Project Operations and the Growth & Operations Director on strategising, planning and managing the year's marketing efforts, and will play an important part in in shaping COLOURS' 2019-2020. The ideal candidate will bring with them ideas they are willing to share and implement, as well as experience in optimising impact.

Managing and driving the marketing team and Content Plan, ensuring all marketing content is on-strategy

Work with the Head of Project Operations, Growth & Operations Director, as well as other relevant needs in creating the short-term marketing and brand-building strategies and plans

Oversee and assist with Social Media, Website, and Event metrics

Work with Head of Project Operations and Events Lead on event promotion and engagement

Socially driven with the aim to use their skills to better the world

Passionate about / Interested in social messaging + Creating a platform for marginalised voices

Organised and with knowledge of marketing and branding strategies

Prior experience in marketing

(ideally with creative/social focus)

Interested in both the Refugee Crisis & Art

MS Office & Leadership Skills

(training will be given)

Tech-savvy, particularly in social media

(knowledge of website design and wix interface desirable)

Friendly, approachable and understanding
